{"id":12,"date":"2016-08-17T08:39:08","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T08:39:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moaclinic.co.nz\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2026-08-16T10:24:42","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T10:24:42","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/moaclinic.co.nz\/index.php\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>About Nick<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-270 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/moaclinic.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Nick-1-255x300-255x300.jpg\" alt=\"nick-1-255x300\" width=\"195\" height=\"229\" \/><\/h3>\n<p>Nick Leahy is a graduate of UNITEC in Auckland. \u00a0He originates from Christchurch, where his fascination with osteopathy began after successfully being treated for lower back pain by an osteopath. \u00a0Nick studied Traditional Chinese Medicine initially, then switched to study remedial massage therapy and working as a Remedial Massage Therapist in Western Australia for 2 years. \u00a0It was during his time in Australia that he felt that he wanted to effect longer lasting change for his patients and decided to study osteopathy.<\/p>\n<p>Nick has many years clinical experience and enjoys working with a wide range of people, using his remedial massage skills as well as osteopathy to assist patients towards their health goals.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of work Nick enjoys getting out into nature with his family, fishing, playing guitar and drums, and the odd game of squash.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About Jamie<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Originating from Virginia USA, Jamie moved to New Zealand in 2004 and studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in Christchurch. After 4 years of study, she graduated from The New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine in 2009 and has been practicing ever since.\u00a0 Jamie has a special interest in womens health, elderly wellbeing and musculoskeletal injuries.
